1998 True Value Country Showdown Winner

On December 3, 1998 Matt sang his way to the top of one of the most prestigious competitions in the world for Country and Western music, the True Value Country Showdown.

Matt traveled to the stage of the famous, Grand Ole Opry to win the world's largest country music talent search.  He performed the song, "The Best Man" (included on his CD) and the Keith Whitley song, "Talk to me Texas."

Although music is "just a hobby", Matt would not mind being the next big star on the country and western circuit.  He is taking the award in stride and is realistic about his chances of singing to thousands of fans from a stage.
